The adventures of Shaun — a man revered as a god in some ancient cultures.
Tuesday: the day of the lion.
Man, today was actually a little fun. I didn’t really do all that much, and that is why I think it was fun. You see, while other people require alcohol to have a good time, I am merely content with just sleeping, or perhaps some sort of structural fire.
Although there was no fire (besides the usual “Fire o’ Love” in my pants), I still had an enjoyable time. First, I woke up at about 10:30am. I got ready for class and was out the door by 10:45. History 132 was pretty interesting because more than half the class was gone. The usual horde of people who don’t have a life, myself included, were there bright and early with bells on. Not actual bells, mind you, these were more figurative bells that rang and brewed a mean iced tea, among other things.
After an enthusiastic lecture by the professor who has the same kind of shoes as I do (by the way, it’s a little embarassing that I now dress like a middle-aged History professor), I headed down the HISTORY DEPT. BOOK SALE!!
The books were numerous in the lounge of Baker Center, and I sifted through them like an old lady at a garage sale. What made me really feel like an old lady was when I started bargaining with the guy in charge. Luckily, I finally convinced the guy my social securtiy check could only go so far every month and he gave me a whole box for $5.
After that, I did some more stuff uptown and then came back to my dorm for lunch. Following lunch, I saw one of the most awesome things on TV I have ever seen in my entire life. An announcer messed up while reading a prepared script on Fox News… Here is the clip.
After that, there was more class, and then dinner which brings me to the end of my story. My last words of wisdom? I bought a book today entitled, The Lonely Crowd: Individualism Reconsidered. Until next time, may much good luck find you…
