The adventures of Shaun — a man revered as a god in some ancient cultures.
Today is Tuesday.
There is not much going on here at the O to the U. In fact, there is nothing happening here. The only relatively fun thing that happened recently was this morning. The water main broke and my first class was cancelled. Now, this is exciting to me, but I doubt it makes for good reading on behalf of everyone else.
In addition to the boring state of affairs at OU today, I have been thinking of about the Second Battle of Ypres in WWI. I don’t know why. In fact, I have ABSOLUTELY no clue why, but the fact remains I am thinking about this battle. I think it might be because the name “Ypres” (pronounced “Eip”) is one of those words that just gets ingrained into your skull and that is the only word you are thinking about for a few days.
Suddenly, the word begins to take over your very life. You are standing in the cafeteria line waiting for food chanting, “Ypres. Ypres. Ypres. Ypres.” People are slowly backing away as you get your food. Resting underneath a tree you begin eating your food with that cursed battle running through your mind.
Then… you snap.
Next thing you know, the men in white coats are hauling you to the Athens Insane Asylum.
That preceding story was brought to you by dramatic classical music. Now that the music is over with, I have nothing left to write. Perhaps another when I am more creative and there is something write about.
