Tuesday… HA! it’s really Monday.

Well, the weekend is over with and I’m back to class. Which sucks. I (and the rest of the world for that matter) hate going back to school/work on Monday. I actually think Tuesday is the worst though. At least I’ve had hours of relaxation during the weekend when I wake up Monday morning. On Tuesday, there is nothing to make me feel better except the inadequate sleep I got Monday night. Wednesday morning isn’t as bad because nothing could be worse than Tuesday. As for Thursday, that’s the last day of most of my classes, so it feels pretty good. Friday morning is simply an obligation, while Friday afternoon is, of course, quite wonderful. Saturday is all right, but by night, it’s usually kind of annoying. Sunday = sleep-in-day. At one point in my life, Sunday used to be “get-up-early-for-church” day.

It’s a good thing I’m a heathen in college — I need my rest.

Anyway, before I shared my feelings on every day of the week, I was starting to talk about my weekend. On Friday, I was EXTREMELY busy. I woke up 10 minutes late, which isn’t bad. I allow for that in my morning schedule; however, that meant I didn’t have time to eat anything. Unfortunately, I was busy the entire morning and afternoon, so I couldn’t eat anything until about 3:30. I had 2 cookies. They were tasty.

At 3:30, I had to go to Ping Center to aid in preparations for the wonderful “Combative Arts Day” that happened on Sunday (more on that later). I spent a long while inspecting swords, and by 6:00, I ran out of there to do laundry/eat/get ready for the hockey game. Sadly, I didn’t have enough time to finish my clothes before it was hockey game time.

I showed up to the hockey game late, and by myself. I was supposed to meet Angie and Beth, but when I arrived, no one was there. So, I sat down in the section we usually sit in by myself and I waited and waited. Eventually, Beth arrived and Angie called in sick.

The hockey game itself was pretty boring, so I entertained myself by making random comments about random stuff to Beth. She seemed to return the favor. All-in-all, I had a lot of fun. ALTHOUGH, I had been waiting in anticipation ever since I heard there was going to be a Late Night Skate on Friday. I absolutely could NOT convince Beth (or Irene, whom I visited after the game) to go with me. That sucked pretty bad.

Saturday was pretty cool, except Jason got here uber-early. It was fine though; I just handed him a shiny piece of metal to stare at and did my errands/chores while he was occupied. Eventually, we hooked up with Angie, but didn’t get to do stuff with Maria and/or Beth because they were busy keeping Maria’s mother and sister company at the hospital.

Aside: I honestly don’t know what happened yet. Maria sent me the longest email I think I’ve ever gotten. I honestly think I’ll break the scroll wheel on my mouse if I try to scroll all the way to the bottom. Long emails and me don’t get along very well. My eyes just sort of gloss over, my head cocks to one side, and I think about the circus. I WILL read it, though. I just have to set aside an hour or two to attempt. Oh, and if you are Maria and are reading this, I hope your sister and mother are better because they can both wail on the guitar and I think people who can rock like that should never be hurt.

So, Jason was here and our rendevous with Angie was successful. We headed upstream 3 clicks toward “The Red Brick Tavern” and ate our grub. Jason spotted enemy troop placements at around 6:30, so we withdrew and returned to base — my dorm. At 7:00 — hockey.

Hockey was pretty boring again. Also, Beth thought I was mad at her because she couldn’t go ice skating on Friday (see above), so her and I talked very little. The lack of speech on her part made me think she was mad at me, so I didn’t talk to her so I wouldn’t make her angrier. If you think about it, the whole situation is kind of funny actually. Don’t worry though, we’re friends again.

I think.

After the hockey game, Angie, Jason and I (Beth went home because of the above situation) visited some friends of Jason and mine and then headed back to Angie’s. We were going to go to Maria’s, but she on rounds when we were about to head over there, and by the way time her rounds were over, we were basically passed out around the general couch area. I suggested we play Scrabble, and we did.

No details of the Scrabble game except one; I had a 78-point word… GLACIERS. I am a Scrabble God, but Jacki can still easily beat me.

So, after 2 games of Scrabble (yeah… last place the second one… pretty pathetic), Jason and I went back to my dorm. We then slept and he left Sunday morning.

Sunday afternoon, I had Combative Arts Day at noon. After spending a very long setting stuff up and eating an apple (it was ripe!), the Fencing Club (of which I am an officer) did our demostration for a crowd that was mainly old people and the other clubs’ members. Our second demonstation was the best. It was a melee that lasted a ridiculously long time. The crowd loved it for whatever reason. In the evening, I fenced. Quite poorly, in fact.

So, that was my excessively long weekend. I think I’ve got carpal tunnel syndrome from all this typing I’ve done. This week, I’ve got a few things to look forward to, one of which is reading a 600-page book I totally forgot about by Thursday. On Friday, I will go home with one goal in mind: playing at the football game for Alumni Band. I’m just as excited about the football game as I was about the Late Night Skate. Good thing I don’t need anybody to go with me to THIS event, I guess. I’m starting to wonder if no one wants to hang out with me because I smell or something. It’s probably my face. It makes everyone cry.

“Everyone” includes myself.
