The adventures of Shaun — a man revered as a god in some ancient cultures.
Well, it’s Monday.
Since it has been a decent amount of time since I last updated, I thought I should throw something up. I wasn’t able to update at all this weekend because I went home and as such, had to deal with the horrible, horrible problems of dial-up Internet. I really should talk my parents into getting some type of broadband connection. Perhaps I’ll use charts and graphs.
I am not home enough to make it worthwhile for me to pay for it myself; however, my dad does like to surf the ole Web quite a bit, and I think he (and everyone else who uses the computer) would enjoy the fast connection.
Enough about that.
This weekend was somewhat frustrating because I have a lot of stuff on my plate right now. This week is shaping up to be a very hairy one, so I’m trying to pace myself with the work so I don’t overdose or something. Right now, I’m working on 4 different complex websites (in addition to maintaining this one), I’ve got a research paper due on Friday I haven’t started, a 6-page book review on a book I haven’t read that’s due on Wednesday, a final exam in lab this afternoon, a few minor quizzes and tests in other classes, work (which eats up any free time I might’ve had during the week), and, of course, I’ve decided to take on another big history book. Really, I’m not complaining about it now. I just needed a chance to list it all so I wouldn’t forget anything.
I really should talk about my weekend though. Jacki, Jason and I went about the town on Friday night. We drank some coffee (well, Jason and Jacki did–I wasn’t thirsty), talked a little and then took Jacki too work. On Saturday, we went to see The Incredibles, which was pretty good, but not as good as I expected. I still enjoyed it much though. For anyone who plans on seeing it, I highly recommend it.
I should note that on Saturday I raked a lot of leaves because the throttle on the leafblower is broken. It just sort of idles.
I should also noted that this is the first time anyone has raked leaves this autumn at my house, so there were a lot of leaves for me to attack with my raking skills. By the time I was finished raking, I had a pile that rivaled the heights of the tallest temples in all of Arabia.
I truly am a raking god.
That’s really about all there was to the weekend. Nothing really exciting, but nothing really boring. The fun level was respectable. It could’ve been higher, but I’m not complaining as it is.
As for the rest of this week, it will be interesting to see what kind of state I’m in by Friday. I have a feeling if I update daily, a general psychological breakdown will be visible as the days progress. The week will conclude with some sort of shooting and/or looting. Possibly both because they rhyme quite well.
