Yep, it’s Thursday night.

Well, I had an interesting night last night. Jacki, Jason, Jacki’s friend Cherith (that may be spelled wrong) and I decided to go do something. The only problem with this was that the weather was absolutely freezing. Oh—and cold. VERY cold, in fact. I, being the most intelligent person in the entire world, left my umbrella @ Jacki’s because I didn’t feel like carrying it around. “We won’t be outside much, anyway,” I reasoned.

I was terribly wrong.

The cause of my horrible misjudgement was something I needed for my photography class: film. But, not JUST film. I needed Kodak TMax 400 Black & White film. Plus, I had a project due the next day (remember how the professor said there were no due dates in this class? Yeah—he lied). So, Jason took me to the most convenient place and of course, they were closed, quite inconveniently I might add. Not a big deal because I had an idea. “Why not go to Sinclair’s bookstore? I’m sure they sell it.” Jason didn’t want to go there. “OK—how about UD’s then? They’re a college bookstore, I’m sure they’ll have it.”

So, all of us headed over to the University of Dayton. We parked in a parking lot and started to walk to the bookstore. Normally, this would’ve been just fine, however, the weather made this small trek frigid. In fact, I don’t think “frigid” is strong enough of a word to describe the extreme climate variables we faced while charged with the simple task of walking to the bookstore.

I suppose it wasn’t all that bad. Jacki made it worse though. MUCH worse. She did this by being, of all things, playful Jacki. Her trick this time was when she jumped in every single puddle we walked by. Eventually Jacki and I got into splashing contests, which in retrospect was not a good idea on such a cold and rainy night.

Finally we found the bookstore and went inside only to discover they didn’t carry the film I needed. Curses!

So, we gave up and decided to get ice cream. I’m still not really sure how after sloshing our way through most of UD’s campus we were in the mood for ice cream, but there apparently we were. I ended up getting nothing because I wasn’t really in an “ice cream mood” (how is this possible?—I know). Then, the cravings of our group changed and we were taken to Taco Bell where I DID get something. In fact, I got 2 chalupas minus the tomatoes, of course.

After eating there, we headed over to Meijer because 1) Jacki and Cherith wanted some Jones Soda, and 2) what else is there to do? Jason made the comment that Jacki and Cherith might be pregnant—something I agree with after such a random thirst for non-traditional cravings. Coincidentally, while I was at Meijer, I found the film I had been looking for at the onset of our mini-adventure. Fate, it seems, brought us there.

Eventually, we finished shopping and went home. Jacki had to work, so Jason and I left Cherith (who lives in Texas) at Jacki’s house by herself. We are truly gentlemen.

Note: We offered to entertain her, but she said it was ok. So, don’t get all crazy because we weren’t nice to her or anything like that. We did everything the protocol called for.

Yeah, but that is pretty much everything that has been going on lately. I’ve called a few places about an apartment for next year. I think I’m going to end up trying to get one at the University Courtyards (for anyone who cares). I’ve actually called University Courtyards more than once because 1) I like them the most and 2) I can admit it—I was flirting with the girl on the other end of the phone. I am amazing, what can I say?

The only problem is that they’re out of one bedrooms (plus they are BLOODY expensive), so I think I’m gonna get a two-bedroom one and share it with someone else. That’s really it though. Until later…
