The adventures of Shaun — a man revered as a god in some ancient cultures.
Well, it’s Monday and it’s Valentine’s Day. That’s pretty exciting if you ask me.
Really, I haven’t done much lately. I don’t have that much to write about. This weekend, I just did the usual stuff with Jason and Jacki. Probably the most exciting thing I did was purchase Anchorman on DVD. I really do like that movie—it’s quite funny. Well, I should say it has funny parts; the whole movie itself is actually kind of boring and contrived, but the funny parts make up for the middle. My favorite character is, of course, Brick. My favorite scene is, of course, the big fight scene. Really, I don’t know a better fight scene. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you try it—for me.
Now, a different story…
The other day I was checking my bank statement and I noticed I was $95 overdrawn. Hmmm… interesting. I haven’t bought anything with my card for quite a while because I am, to put it simply, poor. Plus, I don’t really ever use this account for anything anymore. I look at my statement closer and notice a $54 charge on there from someplace I didn’t know. With a $30 overdraft fee and $6 a day charges for being overdrafted, that would put my account in the red pretty quickly. So, I call the number on the statement and it ends up being a magazine outlet.
The plot thickens.
So, I found out they charged me $54 without my consent for a magazine I had never bought. Wow. That’s neat. Thanks, guys. They agree to refund my $54 (really—if they hadn’t I would have gotten medieval on them) and charge it to my bank account. Luckily, I got that problem fixed rather quickly, but the biggest problem is that I have an overdraft fee and some daily charges to worry about. Will the bank cancel the charges when they learn I was not the one responsible, or will I have to pay for other’s mistakes? The answers to those questions and more tomorrow.
