The adventures of Shaun — a man revered as a god in some ancient cultures.
Well, it’s very early Monday morning.
I just got back from a refreshing walk around the block. There was nothing good on TV and I wasn’t ready for bed, so I decided this was close to the only thing left to do. Of course, it wasn’t the only thing to do—just the thing I was in the mood for the most. I like taking walks at night; always found it to be peaceful, I guess. I suppose the only thing I need now is to find a girl who also likes taking walks at night. There should probably be something in there about finding a girl who likes walking at night AND doesn’t mind the cold too because my cheeks are about as rosy as they could possibly be. If I could find a girl like that, I would definitely think she was wonderful.
Really, my little walk was the only entertaining thing that happened to me today. Jason was at work and Jacki was halfway around the world. That pretty much meant I was on my own for the evening. I went to Barnes and Noble earlier because there was a book I had been wanting to read. I found the book, but by the time I had gotten to my destination I was bored. I can’t really seem to focus my attention on anything today; it just kind of drifts. Naturally, in the background, circus music plays.
In case you were wondering, the book was a book about cinematography. I’m really in the mood to make another movie. It’s been a year since I finished (emphasis on finished) my last little flick.
Speaking of that, I have a little call to arms for everyone out there. I lost all the copies of my Something About Dances movie I made last year. That in and of itself is amazing because I had about 5 of them on CD plus one on hard drive.
I astonish myself with my absentmindedness sometimes.
On a totally different topic, I watched the movie Hero today. I found it interesting. It wasn’t the world’s greatest movie, but it was pretty. Quite literally, I mean “pretty.” There were A LOT of colors (or “colours” for our friends across the ocean) in every single scene. If you like colors and lots of fighting, I recommend this movie. Or really, if you just like martial arts movies I recommend Hero. The whole thing is in Chinese so be prepared for subtitles unless you are extremely familiar with the language. Of course, it’s amazing how fast one gets used to reading the subtitles; it shouldn’t detract from the film at all.
Also, while I’m on the topic of things I like, I should mention that I discovered (not in the record executive sense) a new band this week. Their name is The Strokes. I had never heard of them before, but apparently everyone else in the free world but myself had. Still, I am quite happy with their music. I don’t like them as much as I do Cake, but really it’s difficult to compare the two; they are in totally different genres. Cake is still better though. That’s just my opinion, of course. I could be wrong.
Except, I’m not.
It truly is time for bed now. I have used all the wit I have for tonight. Perhaps on another day at another time, I will have more. Unfortunately, that’s not bloody likely; I’m quite stoic.
