The adventures of Shaun — a man revered as a god in some ancient cultures.
It’s Wednesday (or something like that).
It’s been a few days since I last updated, so I thought now was the time to put up another entry. Not too much has been happening. Jacki got back from Oregon on Saturday night. Jason and I actually drove to the Columbus airport to pick her up. Originally, she was supposed to fly into Indianapolis (that’s where she flew out of), but a lot of things happened and she wound up flying to Columbus from Las Vegas.
Really, the details for the rest of that story are too long. I’m not going to stop here with it.
That was actually a fun little trip though. Jason and I went up beforehand to hang out with Lauriepoo and Mike. It was entertaining, but my mind was elsewhere while we were hanging out at Steve’s. I was more focused on the great Dave Chapelle who happened to be on the TV at the time than what was going on around me. When everyone left to go to a large party with, rumor had it, 18 kegs, Jason and I left for the airport. I know—what were we thinking, eh? We should’ve stayed for the party, got trashed, slept with a bunch of girls and left Jacki sitting by herself at the airport. I’ll have to keep that in mind for the future.
It was extremely good to see Jacki when she walked through the security gate. She had been gone for a week and I had a lot of fun hanging out with just Jason, but it was still nice to see her come back. I’m not so sure if Jason had as much fun hanging out with me as I did with him though. I think I became a little too much to deal with. I can be like that sometimes, I suppose.
So, yeah. That was the trip to the airport.
Oh—something weird happened while I was at the airport. I think this demonstrates my theory that I have an unnatural ability to somehow know at least one person wherever I go. I was sitting in the airport waiting at the gate (Jacki had not yet appeared) and I saw a familiar face walking down the lane. It was Ann from fencing! She looked at me, I looked at her and we were both kind of in disbelief that we could find someone we know in an airport. Even more coincidental was that she sat a row in front of Jacki on her airplane.
For those who don’t know, Ann was something of a protege for Greg and I at fencing. She came along quite fast too before she started attending Muskingham instead of OU, that is. Anyway, it was nice to know she was still alive.
That was the trip to Columbus though.
Other than that, there hasn’t been too much else going on. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were all a lot of fun. I predict that tonight will be a lot of fun too. Jason gets off @ 5 and that means he’ll have the entire evening to do something because he doesn’t work again until Thursday night @ 6 (you see, Jason—I CAN learn you work schedule!). Good times, I suppose.
Next Saturday, Jacki’s friend Cherith will be coming to the fine state of Ohio. Because she’s been talking about it so much Jacki has me sort-of pumped about it too. The last time I saw Cherith was January 5th, 2005. The story of what we did is located here. I suggest you read it. It’s a classic.
Jacki said Cherith is into the whole “acting thing” so I think I can exploit her weakness this visit and coerce her into making a movie. I will be difficult, but I’m sure I can do it. I have the power of persuasion and I’m pretty cute. Girls can’t resist cute guys. Or so I’ve been told. Really it doesn’t seem to be that true because if I am cute all the ladies seem to be doing an excellent job resisting me. But, I am cute, right? I’ll leave that question open for the comments on this entry.
Please be gentle.
so, i was just wondering…are you dead?
