It’s Wednesday.

Yeah, I know. It’s been almost 2 weeks since I last updated. I’m completely sorry. If you’re my friend, you probably know that I get distracted pretty easily. A fine case in point of this is the Lewiguez Enterprises web site (www.lewiguez.com). It’s been in development, and will likely remain in development, forever. I’m about all that, but it’s just the way I am. According to the horoscopes I often find in the newspaper (I’m a Sagittarius — ladies, beware), that’s the way I should be.

Sure, using a bogus “science” (for lack of a better word) to justify my complacency isn’t exactly considered good form, but I guess I’m just not above that.

Some of you may be wondering what exactly I have been doing since I haven’t been updating. Honestly, not a lot. The biggest thing that happened to me recently is that I went to Lake St. Mary’s, Cedar Point and Michigan for Memorial Day weekend. It was a whole lot of fun. There are about 8000 stories to tell too. I’ll break it down by the day and I’ll try to keep it short.

Thursday (May 26th)

Jacki asked everyone if we wanted to go to the lake for the weekend. She said we probably wouldn’t go down there until Saturday.

Friday

Jacki told me that we wouldn’t go until Monday.

Sunday

Jacki told me we’re leaving in half an hour. Wait a minute — what? Yeah, that’s right. I had a half an hour to get ready. I don’t like being rushed and I hadn’t eaten dinner, so I just told her I’d come down a little bit later. So, she left with her mom, Cherith (her friend from Texas) and her 13 year-old brother Dalton. I did my clothes (read as “had my mom do my clothes”), ate some food, and then headed north towards the lake. I arrived in an hour with only one wrong turn (which happened to not be my fault — bad directions).

That was pretty much Sunday. We set off fireworks in the evening.

Monday

Jacki’s friend Jeff arrived and we all just hung out. Once again, there wasn’t much going on Monday.

Tuesday

We went to Cedar Point and I got dehydrated and had to take a nap for about an hour or so in the car. It really messed me up too. For the rest of the day I felt wobbly on my legs and all the jazz. At first I thought it was just the roller coasters, but after I drank water I felt fine. I kept myself hydrated the rest of the day and I ended up being perfectly fine. That leads me to believe it was definitely water that was the cause of my queasiness.

That’s a lesson for next time, eh?

After Cedar Point, I had to drive to Michigan. It was a two and a half hour drive there versus home, which was around 4 hours. It’s a good thing I went to Michigan instead of home because I was on the verge of driving off the road from sleep deprivation most of the ride. Luckily, I had Phantom of the Opera to keep me awake and give me company after Jacki fell asleep next to me.

Wednesday

I left Michigan and started on towards home with Jacki, Cherith and Dalton in the car. Dalton and Cherith were in the backseat together; Jacki and I were up front. It was probably one of the funnest car rides I think I’ve had in a long time. Not for everyone though. I’m pretty Cherith was ready to kill someone (probably Dalton). That’s why it was so funny, I guess. It was the stereotypical car ride. Cherith was the person in the backseat complaining and trying to sleep, Dalton was the annoying little brother, I was the father figure who had to pull the car over at one point because Dalton was kneeing me in the back and it got annoying and Jacki was the mom-type person with her “Mom Pile” of toys and candy from the backseat she confiscated from Dalton. Really, I don’t know where Dalton got all the candy he had. It was truly amazing.

As much as I loved the ride, Cherith hated it. She woke up one time to ask use how far we were and Jacki told her we went the wrong way on purpose and were farther away from home than when we started. Cherith got really mad until Jacki told her she was kidding. She said, “Good—I was so mad I was about to kick the door off.”

For whatever reason, I laughed about that until I cried. It went on for a really long time.

That was my lake weekend story. I realize the details were pretty few and far between, but I think it will suffice for the purpose of this journal. Besides, who wants to read about all that anyway, right?

For now, I’m pretty bored. Jacki went to Maryland to be a camp counselor. She’ll be gone for 2 months, which SUCKS. I tried to guilt her into staying, but apparently I’m just not as persuasive as I thought I was. Blast.

That’s all though. I’ll give a real update tomorrow or something. This one was kind of short and sweet (although it was long).
