It’s Thursday afternoon.

I’m sitting in my living room right now, typing away on the old computer. I just finished watching Gangs of New York and I’m sort of “bored.” I don’t really want to use the word “bored” though because that implies that I don’t have anything to do. Really, I guess the word I should use is “lazy” — I have things I could be doing, I just don’t feel like doing them. I’ve been feeling “lazy” a lot lately.

Only during the day though.

It’s probably because I’m working with my cousin James at his business. Working with Jamie is like running a Marathon. Example: last night I worked 15 hours without a lunch or anything more than a 5-minute break. That’s my fault though. I wanted to finish the job as soon as I possibly could. We made amazing progress. I pulled more than 30 cables — easily. Probably much, much more. When we finished, even James (the National Guardsmen captain that he is) said we “did good” that night. Now THAT is a very big deal when he says something like that.

Enough about work though. It’s boring.

Jacki is back in town. She was in Maryland for 2 months and now she is home. That’s good, right? Yeah, it is. Although she has an infection on her leg and Lyme disease. If only I were joking. Unfortunately for her, I was being quite literal. No joke. Lyme disease.

That’s hot.

And now, a confession…

The Confession

I have this friend named Christina of Troy who has always and probably will always use Mac computers.

Note: Her last name is not actually “of Troy.” The real surname has been lost in the pages of history. Or, maybe I just think it’s cooler to say “of Troy” because that’s where she used to live. A city named Troy. It’s probably that one. The city one.

Not only does Christina use Macs, but she is somewhat of a zealot toward her cause of making everyone use and love one of their own. I used to tease her about this love because, well, it’s just plain fun to tease her. Well, Christina, this is a picture of my new computer:

Yes, I know. It’s a Mac. I don’t think there’s anything else for me to say except that I love it. I love it like it’s my own child. OK, maybe not quite that much, but I do love it. I only hope Christina is mature enough to not make fun of me for it. I’m sure she will be… (ha)

Well, I think that’s really all I have to say. I know this entry wasn’t exactly “exciting,” but perhaps it was at least SOMEWHAT entertaining.

Yeah, I know. It wasn’t.
