The adventures of Shaun — a man revered as a god in some ancient cultures.
So, back when I was still @ OU, I recorded a bunch of bouts that I was going to use on the Fencing Club’s website. I was going to redesign the entire website. Unfortunately, since I’m not going to be @ OU, there is little chance that I will designing and so all my filming was a fruitless task. At the very least, I guess, there is some hard evidence for my friends and family that I actually WAS in a fencing club and this was not a hallucination of mine.
With that background information in mind, I was kind of bored a few minutes ago (really—when do I ever sleep anymore?) so I decided to go through some of these old videos. I saw some neat fights and junk, but as soon as I saw the fight I am about to offer for download, I knew I had to post it online. So, I present to you a battle in which Carole (sp?) and Pete (otherwise known as The Ladies Man) are having a go at each other. It’s really quite an interesting fight, especially since I knocked it down to half-speed.
Download it here: http://journal.lewiguez.com/media/pete_killing.wmv (I recommend a right-click and then “Save Target As…” instead of just clicking)
You will notice that Pete manages to get two wonderful draw cuts in at the end of the fight. In fact, you may also notice that Pete manages to leap entirely off the ground at one point. It is frequently his style to do so, and this definitely makes Pete a very hard person to fight. I would have to say it is imperative for one to be paying full attention to what one is doing when engaged in combat with Pete. Oh—and as always, I don’t recommend this is tried at home.
Man, it’s already Thursday (Friday technically).
It’s hard to believe that it’s already so late in the week. The time has certainly flown by, and I’m not even ready to leave this grand ole place I call Ohio University yet. I will miss the school when I’m gone because while I’m at home, I will be working quite a bit. My solace is found in what I’m working towards. My goal is this. In case you are too busy (or perhaps snobbish–how dare you, sir) to follow that link, I will tell you what it is; it’s a Nikon D70 Digital SLR.

Yep, it’s Monday yet again.
I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night, so I’m pretty tired today. “Not a lot of sleep” should be clarified; I’m talking about what I consider not a lot of sleep. I slept for a total of 6 hours–I’m not sure if that is below average for most people or not. For me that’s a hideously low amount, but for Jacki, that would probably not be enough to facilitate any sort of auditory or verbal response.
Jacki likes to sleep.
