The adventures of Shaun — a man revered as a god in some ancient cultures.
Yeah, so there was a problem with the site. Now it’s fixed.
Oh—and I’m an idiot.
For those of you who don’t know much about domain names (e.g., lewiguez.com), here is a brief little lesson I learned today. MAKE SURE YOU RENEW YOUR DOMAIN EVERY YEAR! Or, better yet, pay for years in advance so you won’t have to remember every year. Anyway, for those of you who had a problem with the site today/yesterday, I am sorry. I really am. Unfortunately, this probably will happen again, but at least not for another year or so. I do tend to forget things.
I would also like to give a shout out (yes—I actually just said, “shout out”) to Mark (the guy who is awesome enough to help me out with hosting) for pointing out that I was an idiot so that I didn’t feel like one. For that, Mark, I give you a link to your web hosting service: www.gl-hosting.com. You should get your own domain through him because he rocks. Also, Maria—thanks for letting me know the site was down in the first place. You also rock.
While I’m talking about the site, I should mention that there will and have been subtle changes taking place. I finally (FINALLY!) got the design squared away. For those of you using Internet Explorer, it looked OK; any other browser was not happy. This was caused by myself when I misplaced a closing tag for a DIV. That is one of the disadvantages of coding everything by hand. The only other thing I’ve done now is to add an email-a-friend script and a printer-friendly version script for each post. Sometime in the near future (2 weeks or so?) there will actually be extras. But, I am too embarassed to make a real post right now so that’s all for today. Tomorrow shall bring more.
